It’s boot season!

Easy Fall
With the temperatures dropping all around the nation today, I came up with a quick and easy fall outfit that would keep anyone warm, while still looking fashionable!
Riding boots can be extremely pricey, considering that most are made of leather. The ones that are made of faux materials can still look good and not plastic-like if made well, however, that comes with a hefty price tag for a college student.
I found these Merona Keon wedge riding boots from Target and they are super cute and comfortable. They are soft and almost faux-suede, so they don’t look like the cheap, fake pleather. In stores, they are around $45, but you may be able to get them online. They do run quite small though as I typically wear an 8-8.5, and I was in between a 9-9.5. I bought the 9.5 thinking I could always wear warm socks inside to bulk up!
If you have a higher budget, some brands that carry boots that range around $150-$350 (and are phenomenal quality) are Buckle, Frye, Tory Burch, Betsey Johnson, Lucky, Vince Camuto, and Donald J Pliner.

Summer’s Last Call

End of Summer
With Labor Day weekend quickly approaching, the warm weather will start to fade. Thankfully, down in NC, I still have quite a few weeks to go until it cools off. New York on the other hand… move quickly if you want to wear this outfit! Fall colors will come into play sooner than we realize, so here’s an outfit to send off summer with style!
Classic nude heels elongate the leg in this color blocked strapless dress by Elise Ryan. The empire waist jewels offer a beautiful touch and bring the peach and turquoise colors together. The Tory Burch clutch is a little pricey, but such an essential piece that it would be a frequently used staple in any wardrobe. The turquoise drop chandelier earrings by Kendra Scott add a simple, yet elegant element to the entire ensemble.
Happy End of Summer everyone!

Summer Lovin’

Summer Lovin'
Although there has been quite a lapse in time since my last post, I have been super busy, I swear! This is a quick little post to hold you over until the next big one (which I promise will be phenomenal).
I called this look Summer Lovin’, just because it’s an absolutely irresistible combination for summer! I started out with the sailor-inspired shorts, which I adore, mostly because they mirror this season’s hottest color determined by Pantone, Tangerine Tango. I also love the detailing.
Next, I added the starfish sandals, which are quite a bargain may I add, to continue the seashore theme. It is so clever that they look as if the starfish is sitting atop the foot. So cute!
I found the Volcom crop top that had both nautical stripes and wide stripes that carry out the color in the shorts, but not in an overwhelming way.
Of course, I had to include the H&M aviators and the MICHAEL by Michael Kors Gold Jet Setter tote… both amazing staples to have in one’s wardrobe.
The Carolee earrings are a great addition to the entire ensemble, as they encompass the orange and turquoise motif, while also adding pearl detail for a little extra class.
The whole look (minus the MK bag), totals up to around $100. Not too shabby for pieces that can be mixed into other outfits!
BONUS! Some cool new jams for the ride to the beach:
Hit Me Down Sonny by The Ting Tings. Creepy cover photo, but definitely give it a listen!
